A crash involving an Egg Harbor Township school bus and a car caused injuries to 13 students and both drivers Wednesday afternoon.

According to The Press of Atlantic City, the school bus struck the front of a car at the intersection of the Black Horse Pike and Fernwood Avenue and caused both vehicles to veer off the road at about 3:00 Wednesday afternoon.

13 students aboard the bus and both drivers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Egg Harbor Township Police.

The school bus driver, 58-year-old Debbie Garbutt, was issued a ticket for careless driving and failure to observe a traffic signal.

Helicopter footage from WPVI-TV shows the bus with its hood open and the car involved being towed away.
