19-year-old Daniele Tuitt was arrested in Atlantic City Thursday and is now facing kidnapping, robbery, burglary, resisting arrest, and weapons charges in connection to a crime last month.

The ACPD says on March 27th, Tuitt had approached two men who were in a car at South Carolina and Baltic Avenues. Tuitt, while holding a gun, ordered the driver to go to the 1100 block of Adriatic Avenue. During the drive, Tuitt stole a cell phone from one of the men. Once in the 1100 block of Adriatic Avenue, both victims were able to escape from Tuitt at separate times.

Officers then responded to the 1100 block of Adriatic Avenue for a report of man armed with a gun. Cops saw Tuitt, who matched the description that was provided to a 911 operator. As officers approached him, he began to walk away and then threw a gun into some bushes before running away. Officers chased Tuitt, but lost track of him. Following the chase, a second handgun that was discarded by Tuitt was located in the 400 block of South Carolina Avenue.

Tuitt was arrested by a pair of officers at Ohio and Atlantic Avenues in Atlantic City. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
