Inventor James V. Laffery designed three elephants in the late 1800's. Elephantine Colossus aka Elephant Colossus aka Elephant Hotel in Coney Island, Light of Asia in Cape May, and Lucy the Elephant in Margate. Although the other two didn't last the test of time, Lucy stands tall looking over Margate.

Lucy stands at 65 feet tall, 60 feet in length, and 18 feet wide. Lucy is a pretty big girl weighing around 90 tons.
