Five Must-adds to Your Summer Bucket List: NJ Beach Towns
Looking for something new to do this summer while at the shore?
New Jersey beach vacations are full of fun things to do, like riding bikes on the boardwalk, winning prizes in the arcade, grabbing some pizza, and chasing after the ice cream cooler on the beach.
For your summer trip to the beach, lets add five new things to do while you're here.
Since 1926, Ocean City's boardwalk has been home to the carousel on Gillian's Wonderland Pier. Only 11 carousels in the country still operate with the "brass rings" and we're lucky to have one right here! Be the lucky person who grabs the brass ring as you pass by, and enjoy a free ride! No matter how old, its never cheesy to ride a carousel
Turned into a museum to save it from demolition, this 18 room "house" is something you should stop by when visiting Cape May this summer. You'll walk through the rooms of an Estate from the show Haunted Towns on Destination America TV Network. Will you take the risk of running into the ghosts of Emlen Physick and his family?
New Jersey has 8 lighthouses near the beach other than the well-known Cape May Lighthouse. We have lighthouses that are all worth taking the trip to. Their locations are:
Barnegat: 208 Broadway & Long Beach Blvd., Barnegat Light, NJ 08006
Sandy Hook: 85 Mercer Rd., Highlands, NJ 07732
East Point:10 Lighthouse & E. Point Rds., Heislerville, NJ 08324
Sea Girt: 9 Ocean Ave., Sea Girt, NJ 08750
Twin Lights: 52 Shrewsbury Ave., Highlands, NJ 07732
Tucker's Island: 120 W Main St., Tuckerton, NJ 08087
Absecon: 31 S. Rhode Island Ave., Atlantic City, NJ 08401
Hereford:111 N. Central Ave., North Wildwood, NJ 08260
Located on New Hampshire Ave and the Bay, you're not going to want to miss this one! Home to the Atlantic City Aquarium, many restaurants, and Crafters' Village, this is an all day location. Tickets for the aquarium are between $6.00 and $10.00 depending on the ages, and hours are 10am-5pm. You can't beat the price and the location is beautiful!
This monument is located in Odonnell Park at the corner of Albany Ave. and Ventnor Ave. in Atlantic City. With amazing architecture, your Instagram photos will be top of the line, and your gratitude for those who fought will be greater upon leaving.
