5-Year-Old Boy Ran Over, Seriously Injured in EHT
A 5-year-old boy from Egg Harbor Township was airlifted to a hospital after being ran over by a vehicle Tuesday morning.
Just after 11:00 Tuesday morning, Egg Harbor Township police responded to the area of Fernwood and Oakland Avenues. At the scene, officers say a 35-year-old Thomas Kinzer was driving a Ram pick-up truck and pulling a trailer from the rear of a residence. At the same time, Kinzer's 5-year-old son was driving a toy motorized tractor. They say the child drove the tractor into the path of the truck, the father didn't see him, and ran him over, causing serious injuries.
The child was treated at the scene by paramedics and flown to Cooper Regional Trauma Center in Camden. EHT Police continue to investigate the accident.
