An apparent incident of road rage lead to a man being stabbed twice in the parking lot of a convenience store early Saturday morning in Middle Township.

Police say two drivers were arguing at the traffic light on the Garden State Parkway at Stone Harbor Boulevard around 1AM Saturday morning. Both drivers pulled into the 7-11 store on Route 9 in Cape May Court House when the confrontation turned physical. A 21-year-old man was stabbed twice with a knife and the suspect fled the area on foot but was caught a short time later.

The alleged stabber, Victor Sawaichi from Cape May Court House, was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and lodged in the Cape May County Jail. The victim was taken to a local hospital and treated.
