75-Year-Old Hamilton Township Man Killed in Car Crash

A 75-year-old man from Hamilton Township was killed Wednesday morning when his car struck a utility pole.

Egg Harbor Township police say they responded to the Ocean Height Avenue near Swift Drive around 7:20 Wednesday morning. Officers say a Honda Civic being driven by 75-year-old Frank Cirillo of Hamilton Township was going east on Ocean Heights when we drifted off the road, struck a curb, then hit a utility pole without braking. Cirillo was transported to Shore Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries.

Traffic on Ocean Heights Avenue was detoured for approximately an hour while the crash was cleared. Police say its unknown why Cirillo drifted off of the road.
