Absecon Woman Struck and Killed By Car on Black Horse Pike
Two people attempting to cross the Black Horse Pike in Pleasantville were struck by a car late Saturday night. A woman died at the scene, while a man received only minor injuries.
The Press of Atlantic City is reporting that Elizabeth Turner, 27, of Absecon died at the scene, while Christopher Soto, 27, also of Absecon, was taken to the hospital, treated for minor injuries and released.
According to The Press, the driver of the car, Maurice Williams, 38, of Sickerville, was heading eastbound when the accident occurred.
No charges have been filed, and the accident is under investigation. Police are asking any witnesses to call 609-641-6100.
