This will be the first time Cory Booker will be present for a debate. He has agreed to appear at only two events before the August 13 primary. Oliver, Rush and Pallone have noted Booker's absence at their events.

Booker has a huge lead in the polls with 49% saying they would vote for Booker according to a July Monmouth University poll.

The primary winner will face Republican Alieta Eck or Steve Lonegan in an Oct. 16 special general election and fill the remaining 15 months of the term of late Senator Frank Lautenberg.

The candidates will debate again on Thursday at the studios of WBGO FM in Newark.
