Friday evening, officers from the Hamilton Township police and Cologne fire departments responded to Cologne Garden Apartments for a structure fire.

Upon arrival, responders discovered flames at the rear of building S.  The fire originated on the outside wall of the first floor unit and spread up to the second floor. Several housing units experienced smoke and water damage. The quick response of firefighters stopped the progression of the fire which saved the other housing units in the building.

Displaced residents are being housed in a local hotel by the owners of the development.  No injuries were reported.
