This isn't very flattering. It also may possibly be not true.

A website, roadsnacks.net, is out with a list of the "10 Murder Capitals of New Jersey for 2019."

Atlantic City and Bridgeton are on the list as #4 and #5.

The website claims it, "dug into the FBI crime data in order to identify the places with the most murders and the highest murder rates per capita in New Jersey."

The site says Atlantic City had the "highest murder rate" with 33.7 murders per 100,000 people. This number does not take into account seasonal, weekly, and day visitors to the city - which would amount to millions of people.

Atlantic City, by the way, had 13 murders in the reported period. Newark had the most with 77.

While Bridgeton "only" had five murders in the time period covered, it, too had a high murder rate with 20.1 murders per 100,000 people.
