It looks like Mike Trout is about to have some local company in the big leagues.

We all know Trout, a Millville High school alum, as the best player from the Cape-Atlantic League in the majors. However, it appears 2013 Atlantic City High School graduate Brett Kennedy from Brigantine is about to join him in the majors.

Dennis Lin of The Athletic first reported that Kennedy, a 2015 11th round pick of the San Diego Padres, will make his major league debut in Milwaukee this week.

The Padres later confirmed via this tweet:

Kennedy, 24, is 10-0 with a 2.72 ERA in 16 starts over 89 1/3 innings for Triple-A El Paso this season.

His high school coach Brent Bean expressed how proud he was for Kennedy via a tweet:

He also got some congratulations from a rival Cape-Atlantic League school.
