The peace was disturbed for a short time Tuesday evening on the Ocean City Boardwalk, but luckily nothing else was.

The Press of Atlantic City reports that police say "part of the Boardwalk in Ocean City was closed for a short period Tuesday night because of a bomb threat.

Police and bomb sniffing dogs were on the scene at the 900 block of the Boardwalk, known as Colony Walk, in response to the threat. The city block around the area was closed temporarily.

An hour later the Boardwalk was reopened and apparently no bomb was found. Police did not say if they had a suspect in the case.

Information from the The Press of Atlantic City was used in this report.
