For the second straight week, the Flyers claimed wins in all three games played this season. Just like the previous week, the constant has been the netminder.

One week after being named the NHL's third star of the week, Brian Elliott was once again in the rankings, rising to the second star of the week for the week ending on Dec. 17.

Elliott was in net for all three games this week, posting a 3-0-0 record, 1.31 GAA and .943 save percentage. The Flyers claimed wins over the Toronto Maple Leafs (4-2), Buffalo Sabres (2-1), and Dallas Stars (2-1 OT) this week.

In total, Elliott stopped 66 of 70 shots faced.

Since the Flyers 10-game losing streak ended on Dec. 4, Elliott has gone from a 6-6-6 record to a 12-6-6 record and his GAA has dropped to 2.61 while his save percentage has increased to .915 for the season.

The Flyers are on the cusp of NHL history. A seventh straight win on Monday night will tie an NHL record for consecutive wins following a 10-game losing streak. Elliott will be back in goal for Monday's game against the Los Angeles Kings.
