The body of a Buena Vista man who had been missing for a week was discovered by his family in a gravel pit on Saturday.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office confirms the identity of the body found off Pancoast Mill Road as Andrew Taylor of the Newtonville section of Buena Vista.

An autposy to determine the cause of death is still pending but police say there is no "imminent danger" to area residents.

The discovery was made by family members who organized a search party for the 23-year-old man who is also known as Abdul Raheem who had been missing since last weekend. He was found "Face a muddy puddle of water, blood everywhere. Blood was everywhere," the victim's aunt, Deanna Mobley, told WCAU TV.

Taylor was last seen a week ago leaving home with two friends. He was reported missing when he did not show up for his job at Kirkland's Home Furnishings in Mays Landing on Wednesday according to WCAU TV.
