Camden Man Arrested for Robbing 5 NJ Banks

A Camden man will be spending the rest of the holiday season behind bars, after being arrested for going on a mini crime-spree in Burlington County.

Twenty-two-year-old Brandon Dickerson is accused of robbing five banks over a one month period.

“After a robbery in Maple Shade on Nov. 26, a print was lifted from the note, and after running it through a database, we got a hit on it which identified Mr. Dickerson,” said Burlington County Prosecutor Robert Bernardi during a news conference this afternoon.

He said “surveillance was placed on a couple of locations where we believed this individual could be found- he was picked up yesterday.”

Dickerson has been charged with the following heists:

• Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013 in Burlington City at the Cornerstone Bank on High Street. The defendant gave the teller a note and fled with approximately $2,500.

• Sunday, Nov. 17, 2013 in Mount Holly at the TD Bank on High Street. The defendant gave the teller a note and fled with approximately $1,550.

• Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2013 in Maple Shade at the Roma Bank on Main Street. The defendant gave the teller a note and fled with approximately $1,500.

• Tuesday, Dec. 3, 2013 in Florence at the Roma Bank on Broad Street. The defendant gave the teller a note and fled with approximately $1,000.

• Monday, Dec. 9, 2013 in Haddonfield at the PNC Bank on North Haddon Avenue. The defendant handed the teller a note and fled with approximately $2,700.

Authorities say no weapon was displayed during any of the robberies, even though the suspect did threaten to use one on a couple of occasions.

The prosecutor added there have been 15 bank robberies in Burlington County since the end of October.
