Police arrested Chris Brown in West Palm Beach, Fla. on an outstanding 2017 warrant for felony battery on Thursday night (July 5), CBS reports.

The "Freaky Friday" singer was in town to perform at Coral Sky Ampitheatre as part of his Heartbreak on a Full Moon Tour. Officers took Breezy into custody immediately after the show, according to TMZ. He was booked and released on $2,000 bond.

The arrest warrant was reportedly issued by the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office in connection to Brown's alleged role in an assault on a photographer at a nightclub in Tampa, Fla. in April 2017.

TMZ reported at the time that the singer was working the DJ booth at the Aja Channelside nightclub when a photographer started snapping photos. Brown's entourage asked the man to stop, and when he didn't, the singer allegedly punched the photographer in the face and fled the scene.

Days after the altercation, the club claimed Brown started the fight just five minutes into his scheduled set, and demanded the performer return his $30,000 booking fee.

The arrest is Breezy's latest brush with the law since he was sued in May by a woman who claims she was raped inside his home. His tour with 6lack, H.E.R. and Rich The Kid is scheduled to run until Aug. 4. The status of future shows is unclear.
