As GOP presidential candidates battled during Wednesday night's debate to prove their anti-abortion, anti-Planned Parenthood bonafides, Gov. Chris Christie took a blunt swipe at the Democratic frontrunner.

"Let's ask Hillary Clinton," asked the governor. "She believes in the systematic murder of children in the womb to preserve their body parts in a way that maximizes their value for sale for profit."

The statements are references to undercover video of a Planned Parent senior official discussing the disposal of aborted fetuses. The organization has said repeatedly while it makes tissue from fetuses available for scientific research and collects fees to recoup its costs — a legal practices — the videos have been edited in misleading ways.

Christie pointed out that he has vetoed funding in New Jersey for Planned Parenthood eight times as governor.

As candidates discussed whether it's worth shutting down the government over a budget spat with President Barack Obama Obama — they want Planned Parenthood defunded; the president says he'd refuse to sign a budget doing so — Christie said Republicans should stand strong.

"Let's force him to do what he says he's going to do. Now I don't know whether he'll do it or not, but let's force him to do it," said Christie.

He also said issues like the Planned Parenthood funding are why it's important to elect Republican majorities.

Later in the debate, after Carly Fiorina accused Clinton of "lying about Benghazi, of lying about her e- mails, about lying about her servers," Christie posed the question "Who's going to prosecute Hillary Clinton?"

He said he'd "prosecute" her himself — in a debate.

"She cannot look in the mirror at herself, and she cannot tell the American people the truth," Christie said.

He followed up on Thursday's "Fox and Friends," saying that there are "serious questions" about Clinton's handling of classified information that others such as David Petraeus and Sandy Berger were prosecuted for. He blamed the "lawlessness"  of the Obama administration for not prosecuting the former Secretary of State.
