Could the Boardwalk Hall host a Thanksgiving Day football game again?

That's what Atlantic City Mayor Don Guardian hopes will happen, appearing on the Sports Bash during an event at Harrah's Atlantic City.

"We're going to try to talk to the CRDA into lending us the building, it's been 40 years since Holy Spirit and Atlantic City high school played the tradition football game," mayor Guardian told me on the Sports Bash. "I think it's time to bring it back to the arena."

Atlantic City and Holy Spirit also played their annual Thanksgiving game inside what was then known Convention Hall from the 1940s until 1975 were an estimated 9,000-12,000 people would come to watch the turkey day rivalry.

When asked if they could have the game in there this Thanksgiving the mayor sounded like he was going to make his best pitch.

"We're gonna work on that, I don't have any money, and obviously I don't have any staff or anything but I still have a little pull."
