PHILADELPHIA - Three Eagles players were named to the 2019 Pro Bowl Tuesday and four others were chosen as alternates.

Defensive tackle Fletcher Cox, tight end Zach Ertz and right guard Brandon Brooks were all repeat selections with Cox making his fourth consecutive Pro Bowl team and both Ertz and Brooks repeating from 2017 [the 2018 Pro Bowl].

Selected as alternates, according to an NFL source, were Brooks' cohorts on the offensive line, center Jason Kelce and right tackle Lane Johnson, as well as two members of the defense, end Brandon Graham and safety Malcolm Jenkins.

Cox’s four Pro Bowl honors are the most by a defensive tackle in franchise history and the second-most among all defensive linemen, trailing only Hall of Fame defensive end Reggie White (seven). Cox has 7 1/2 sacks, second on the team behind Michael Bennett, and is second in the NFL with 83 total pressures, trailing only Aaron Donald (89), according to ProFootballFocus.com.

Ertz is having a historic season with 101 receptions for 1,038 yards and six touchdowns, having already set the single-season team record for receptions, surpassing the previous mark of 90 set by Brian Westbrook in 2007. The sixth-year pro is one of just four TEs in NFL history to reach 100 receptions, joining Jason Witten in 2012 (110), Tony Gonzalez in 2004 (102) and Dallas Clark in 2009 (100) and still has two games to catch Witten with.

Brooks, meanwhile, is one of the better free-agent pickups in Eagles history, having started 44 games at right guard since being inked by Philadelphia from Houston before the 2016 season. His consecutive Pro Bowl selections have matched Evan Mathis and Shawn Andrews for the most by an offensive guard in franchise lore.

The 2019 Pro Bowl will be played on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at Camping World Stadium in Orlando, Florida.
