Donald Trump 'Feels Badly' for Christie

Donald Trump made a trip to New Hampshire Tuesday fueling speculation that he is interested in a presidential run in 2016 and saying he "feels badly" for Chris Christie about Bridgegate.

Trump addressed the "Politics and Eggs" forum at St. Anselm College in Manchester and believes that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie's presidential aspirations are "one email away from disaster" according to CBS News. Trump said that Bridgegate makes a run for the White House "even tougher" and is wary of the staffers Christie has fired. "I don't know what they are going to say, or what emails they are going to produce"

"The thing is he's fired ... people. I don't know what they are going to say, or what emails they are going to produce. It's a tough situation for him," Trump said. "I would have thought Chris would do well (as a candidate). He still could do well, but now it's going to be tougher."

Trump told the Union Leader he has spoken to Christie since Bridgegate became a national story and "feels badly for him."

Trump expressed regret to WMUR TV that he didn't get into the 2012 presidential race."I just want what's good for the country. If it was me or somebody else, even if it was President Barack Obama, if it's good for the country, I'd be very happy."

He told the Manchester TV station that he is considering a 2016 run for the White House. "We are going to look at '14 first of all, and we are going to see what happens, and we are going to make a decision right after that."

However, a run for governor of New York is on the table as well. Trump told the Union Leader he would spend up to $50 million of his own money on an election. "It's a state that's not doing well, but it's a very tough state because it's three-to-one Democratic," the Republican said. "People do like me in New York and I do have the money to run."

At St. Anselm, Trump said the problematic launch of the Obamacare website will be a "tremendous factor" in the November mid-term elections and could be "devastating" for Democrats.

Trump was critical of Obama's handling of keeping the United States competitive in the world economy. "We used to be the smart ones on the block, now we're the dummies,"
said the host of NBC's "The Apprentice."

Trump said while he is a fan of the New England Patriots, team owner Robert Kraft and quarterback Tom Brady he is rooting for the Denver Broncos, the team that beat the Patriots on Sunday for the AFC championship.
