A 55-year-old woman from Dorothy, who police say was not wearing a seat belt, was killed in a crash on Route 40 in Mays Landing around lunchtime Monday.

Hamilton Township Police responded to a crash on Route 40 near Cologne Avenue around 12:15 Monday afternoon. An investigation revealed a car driven by a 55-year-old woman from Dorothy was traveling westbound on Route 40 when the vehicle crossed the center line and sideswiped an eastbound van being driven by 22-year-old Emma Fellers of Egg Harbor Township.
