DEPTFORD — Nearly three dozen people were injured when a truck and bus collided early Friday on the New Jersey Turnpike.

New Jersey State Police said 32 people on the Panda tour bus suffered "bumps and bruises" in the crash between Exits 2 and 3 in Deptford, that flipped the bus onto its side on the shoulder when the truck jackknifed.

The southbound lanes were closed for about three hours for cleanup and investigation. Several passengers and the driver of the truck were hospitalized for minor injuries. The bus, carrying 49 passengers in total, was headed from New York to Georgia, according to police.

6 ABC Action news reported passengers said some of them argued with the truck driver right after the collision.
