The Philadelphia Eagles have confirmed in a statement that a player has received a positive test for COVID-19.

This is the first official positive test for the Eagles since players reported for training camp back in late July and early August.

A few weeks ago, offensive lineman Matt Pryor was placed on the COVID/reserve list because he came in contact with someone else who tested positive.

NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports on who the Eagles player is who tested positive:

Marcus Epps has started two gGames for the Eagles this season, compiling 12 solo tackles while playing 24.69 percent of the defensive snaps and 57.21% of the special teams snaps.

Per NFL protocols, Eagles players and coaches will stay out of the team's facilities until they receive multiple consecutive negative tests.  Since the Eagles are on their bye week, the team has plenty of time to isolate and get everyone cleared ahead of resumption of practice next week.
