Win and you are in... if it were only that simple.

Unfortunately that’s not the playoff story for the Eagles (8-7) in Week 17.

Because the Vikings beat the Eagles 23-21 earlier this season, even if Philadelphia beats the Redskins (7-8), they will still need help to be in the playoffs. This matchup has been flexed to 4:25 PM on Sunday, meaning the game that has a direct effect on their playoff fate will be going on at the same time in Minnesota when the Vikings (8-6-1) host the Bears.

So will Chicago play their regulars and try to help the Eagles out?

It's possible.

The Bears could actually still capture the NFC's No. 2 seed with a win over the Vikings.

For that to happen, the Bears would need to beat the Vikings on Sunday night and have the Rams lose to the 49ers, at home.

Here is the playoff scenario for the Eagles in Week 17:

  • The Eagles clinch a wild-card spot if they win in Week 17 against the Redskins and the Vikings lose.
