An Egg Harbor City man is going to jail after being sentenced on drug and gun charges.

According to Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner, Kenneth Burrell, 40, was sentenced to 24 years in prison. Tyner says Burrell must spend at least 10 1/2 years before he's eligible for parole.

During a motor vehicle stop on March 30, 2017, which occurred in Mullica Township and followed an extended narcotics investigation, personnel from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit, the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) and other Federal, State, County and Local Law Enforcement agencies seized seven semi-automatic handguns, more than 120 folds of heroin, handgun magazines and various firearms accessories. Law enforcement officers involved in the stop located seven handguns and multiple magazines inside the vehicle’s trunk, and one loaded semi-automatic Glock inside the passenger compartment of the car.

Complete details about the charges against Burrell are available on the prosecutor's website.
