Egg Harbor Township Police Make Arson Arrest

Back on August 6th, two suspicious fires were set in Egg Harbor Township. Police have made an arrest in one of the fires while the second remains under investigation.

On Friday, August 16th, the Egg Harbor Township Police Department made an arrest in the arson fire at the Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company on the Black Horse Pike. After a lengthy investigation, a 20 year-old-male from Egg Harbor Township was taken into custody and charged with aggravated arson and burglary. He was released on a summons pending court.

The Cardiff Volunteer Fire company estimates the fire damages to be approximately $90,000.00.

The boat fire on Old Zion Road that took place on the same night remains under investigation.
