EHT’s “Hairy Boscov’s Bandit” Jumps Out of Hotel Window, Arrested by Police
Earlier this week, we told you about a man - with a large amount of facial hair - who was wanted by police for shoplifting over $1,000 clothes from Boscov's in EHT. He has been arrested.
The "Boscov's Hairy Bandit," as we've been calling him, has been identified as 33-year-old Carlos Morales of Egg Harbor Township.
According to a post on the EHT Police Department Facebook page:
Mr. Morales was arrested on 08-04-2016 by members of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department with assistance from members of the Pleasantville Police Department. Mr. Morales hindered his own apprehension by fleeing out a second story window of the Howard Johnson Hotel located in the Township's West Atlantic City Section. A secure perimeter was established and a K9 track started after numerous K9 Announcements (Warnings). In an attempt to evade arrest, Mr. Morales ran from Police chasing him directly into perimeter units. He was arrested without further incident.
Morales was processed on numerous outstanding warrants, hindering apprehension, as well as the third degree shoplifting charge. He was lodged at the Atlantic County Justice Facility on the outstanding warrants as well as an additional $2500 bail set for the shoplifting and hindering apprehension charges.
