Galloway teenager Mara Justine came up a little short in her bid to make the top ten on ABC's American Idol.

The Absegami sophomore, the show's youngest contestant, was eliminated Monday after falling into the "in danger" category because of lower viewer votes.  Being in this group left Mara's future on Idol up to the Judges discretion and she lost out in the episode's final moments, likely as number 11 in the Idol top ten.

Idol judges Lionel Richie and Katy Perry went out of their way to reassure the eliminated contestants that appearing on American Idol had already made them winners and that the time was just not right for them now.

For Mara Justin, this seems to be very good and accurate advice. She has obvious talent and learns quickly.  At age 16, she has nothing but the future in front of her.

Welcome back to South Jersey, Mara -- you did us proud!
