A couple from Bridgeton was forced to leave their three American-born children behind after they were deported back to Mexico City on Friday.

After the last attempt to appeal the deportation order, that was eventually denied, NBC 10 says Oscar and Humberta Campos had to say goodbye to their children, ages 24, 22, and 16, before boarding a flight back to their native country.

Apparently, The Campos' fled Mexico back in 1989 to avoid violence in the country. They crossed over in Texas and have been living in the U.S. for over 30 years.

From there, the couple purchased a property here in South Jersey and have maintained a landscaping business.
