On Monday, February 3rd, Eric Teasley turned himself in for a shooting incident that occurred on January 25th on West End Avenue in Atlantic City. Teasley was the last of five suspects involved in that shooting; all five suspects are in police custody.

On Saturday morning, January 25th, police responded to the shooting on West End Avenue and found Jamarl Johnson with multiple gunshot wounds inside a residence. A second male, Yahsin Cheeks, went to AtlantiCare with gunshot wounds from the same shooting. Both males were injured in an exchange of gunfire between Johnson and the four suspects in another vehicle.

The investigation led to the arrests of the five suspects and the recovery of one of the handguns used in the shooting. The vehicle used by the suspects was recovered in Egg Harbor Township.

Yahsin Cheeks remains hospitalized at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Atlantic City. In police custody are Jamarl Johnson of Pleasantville, Yahsin Cheeks of Atlantic City, Sy Parker of Atlantic City, Eric Teasley of Atlantic City, and Kyrie Johnson of Atlantic City -- all are in their 20s.
