Fire At Atlantic County Nursing Home
Four patients will be relocated following an early-morning fire in a nursing home in Atlantic County.
Fire crews outside the Meadowview Nursing Home in Northfield
Firefighters evacuated all the residents of the Meadowview Nursing home in Northfield Thursday.
WPVI reports that 17 people have been displaced by the fire which started around 5 a..m.
County Executive Dennis Levinson tells the Press of Atlantic City a chair was charred before a sprinkler extinguished the fire in a room. Nearby rooms sustained smoke and water damage; four rooms are said to be uninhabitable.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
