Five People Airlifted From Middle Township Accident

Six people were injured in an accident in Middle Township Thursday morning.

Around 11:00 Thursday morning, Middle Township Police responded to Route 47 and Lomurno Lane for a crash. Their investigation revealed a van driven by Nora Torrado of Wildwood was traveling north on Route 47 when it was struck by a truck driven by Vincent McBride of Green Creek.

Six people were taken to area hospitals, five of which were airlifted from the scene. McBride was airlifted to Atlanticare Medical Center in Atlantic City. Torrado was transported to Cape Regional Medical Center, and four passengers from the van were transported to Cooper and Atlanticare Regional Medical Center. Police continue their investigation.
