A 51-year-old Galloway woman was struck by two cars and killed this morning as she attempted to cross the White Horse Pike (Route 30). Police say one of the vehicles did not stop, and they are looking for the driver.

Galloway Police say the accident happened at 6:50 this morning near Poplar Avenue. Sushma P. Patel was struck by a westbound vehicle driven by Maria Rose, 52, of Absecon. Police say Patel was then struck by an eastbound vehicle, which did not stop. Police say it appears to have been a white SUV, probably with some lower front end damage.

Patel was pronounced dead at the scene.
