Here are the details about a fun south Jersey theater experience for a good cause, that you won't want to miss.

Fool Moon Theatre’s LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE will be performed at Somers Point's beautifully restored Gateway Playhouse over two weekend in February, in benefit performances for Gilda's Club South Jersey and other local charities.

Written by Nora and Delia Ephron, LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE is a series of hilarious and heart-breaking monologues and ensemble pieces about women, clothes and memory covering all the important subjects—mothers, prom dresses, mothers, buying bras, mothers, hating purses and “why we only wear black.” The play is based on the bestselling book by Ilene Beckerman.

The New York Times described LOVE, LOSS AND WHAT I WORE as a "show about matters of the heart and matters of the closet." Variety called it "a bittersweet meditation on the joys and tribulations of women's lives, reflected through the prism of their clothes".

The Fool Moon Theatre production is directed by Pattye Herron, co-founder of Fool Moon and director of the highly successful OUR TOWN, recently performed at the Gateway Playhouse. “Love, Loss and What I Wore is both heart breaking and laugh-out-loud funny, and speaks directly to women’s experiences. This is the perfect time for this powerful show,” said Ms. Herron.

Fool Moon Theatre is sharing proceeds with five local nonprofit charities for the entire run of the production. “We believe the Arts create a powerful foundation for building strong communities. We are excited to work with these extraordinary nonprofit organizations to help raise awareness and financial support for their missions while celebrating women and theater,” said Paul Herron, co-founder of Fool Moon, and the show’s producer.

The show's performances benefiting Gilda's Club South Jersey are at 7:30 PM, Friday, Febaury 9th, and 2PM on Sunday, February 18th.

Gilda's Club South Jersey is a caring place where individuals and families are receiving the information, guidance, laughter, and most importantly, the support they need to live their lives with cancer, whatever the outcome, at no cost.
