Governor Christie Declares State of Emergency Ahead of Hurricane Joaquin [VIDEO]
In a press conference this morning Christie urges Garden State residents to prepare themselves, saying, "We know there is definitely going to be moderate and likely to be major flooding events in South Jersey Friday and Saturday with 5 to 6 inches of rainfall expected to come".
The focus right now is on Salem, Cumberland, Atlantic and Cape May counties. The Governor will consider evacuations, if they're warranted, and that emergency shelters will be in place.
Coastal flood warnings and watches are in effect as more rain arrives.
