The Mizpah Volunteer Fire Company made a very special run this week, surprising a 3-year-old boy battling a rare cancer by making him an honorary firefighter.

Members of the fire company and its Ladies Auxiliary stopped by the home of 3-year-old Elmer boy Ben Graham who is fighting stage 4 neuroblastoma, a tumor of nerve tissue that develops in infants and children. Ben was recently released from CHOP after 45 days of treatment.

The Mizpah Fire Company stopped at Ben's house Monday afternoon to give him a helmet and a tour of their truck, then let him turn the hose on his brothers. What little boy wouldn't enjoy that opportunity?

Here's a Facebook post from the Mizpah Fire Company about their new firefighter and some adorable photos of their visit with Ben.
