A 67-year-old Hammonton man was killed when his pickup truck was hit head-on Sunday morning.

According to police, the accident happened around 8:30 Sunday morning on Route 206 near Union Road when a Mitsubishi Eclipse going southbound attempted to pass a vehicle but ended up crashing head-on into a pickup truck in the northbound lanes being driven by John Bellace, Sr. He was pronounced dead at the scene, reports 6abc.com.

The unidentified 25-year-old driver of the Eclipse and his passenger were taken to AtlantiCare Medical Center in Atlantic City. There is no update on the extent of their injuries.
