Harbor Square Theater Coming to Ventnor, Giving Old Movie House New Life
On Monday, it was announced on Harbor Square Theater's Facebook page that the movie chain is coming to Ventnor in Summer, 2019.
The theater will be located at the old Ventnor Twin, which has been closed since 2004.
The Ventnor Twin is the last remaining movie theater on Absecon Island. The other movie theaters have either burned down over the years or were demolished. It started originally as a single screen theater and was changed later in the ‘70s into a twin.
The plan going forward is to bid for a liquor license and purchase the buildings next door, including the one that is home to Sack 'o Subs.
Expect it to be open for Summer, 2019.
