New Jersey is filled with highways that are steeped in history. Some feature truly unique roadside oddities.

Have you ever driven by a huge concrete bottle of wine from the Renault Winery? Odds are that you have, since there are 4 surviving bottles with locations in New Jersey. You can see this distinctive roadside oddity on Rt. 9 in New Grenta, Rt. 9 in Bayville, White Horse Pike in Egg Harbor City and on the corner of Rt. 30 and Breman Ave.

This is the one that I've passed numerous times on the way to the winery which, by the way, is oldest active winery in the Garden State. According to an earlier report from The Press of Atlantic City, there used to be 30 bottles across the state, the bottles served as an advertisement for the Renault Winery. They stand 24 feet tall and were first put up in the early 1900's.

If you have a picture with this roadside oddity, we'd love to see it!
