The Cape May-Lewes Ferry is giving out free rides to local residents, but for one day only.

In honor of National Tourism Day, the Cape May-Lewes Ferry is reaching out to residents in Cape May County and Sussex County, DE, to take a day trip. The Press of Atlantic City reports, locals are usually busy catering to tourists. This free day gives residents the opportunity to experience the ferry while also helping the ferry appeal more to the local community.

Locals looking to ride the ferry just have to make a reservation and provide photo ID with a local zip code.

A ride on the ferry is typically $18 round trip.

To make a reservation on the ferry, call 800-643-3779 or online at CMLF.com. Use the code "Tourism." Oh, and The Press of AC mentions reservations should be made no later than Saturday!
