Police in Hamilton Township say they have made an arrest related to numerous vehicle burglaries and thefts in Mays Landing in the last month.

According to police, a 16 year old Mays Landing boy has been charged with "17 counts of burglary (3rd degree), 13 counts of conspiracy (3rd degree), 8 counts of theft (varying degrees), and 1 count of criminal attempt (3rd degree attempted theft of a motor vehicle)." He's being held at Harborfields Juvenile Detention Center.

Charges are said to be pending against another Mays Landing boy, aged 17.

Police say the suspects targeted unlocked cars and stole jewelry, money, electronics and more.
