New Jersey residents with questions about National Flood Insurance Program policies, and the latest round of flood maps, have a helpline to call for the most up-to-date information.

The line, 877-287-9804, is available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

In the most recent map update, thousands of homes along the water were moved out of the most at-risk zones. The original version after Superstorm Sandy did not include all the obstructions that would impede a wave.
