In a Bloomberg news story citing "people with knowledge of the situation," Caesars Entertainment Corporation is considering making a bid for Revel Casino Hotel.

The "people" said a bid from Caesars isn’t certain. Offers for the casino property are due in two weeks and no negotiations are under way.

Robert Heller, president of Spectrum Gaming Capital, tells Bloomberg, "they could fill the place." Revel would be "a huge upgrade" for Caesars, says Heller.

In addition to the potential offer from Caesars, Hard Rock International is also apparently interested in Revel, according to an article in the New York Post back in December. Hard Rock declined to comment on that rumor.
