Jersey Devil Will Welcome Customers to South Jersey Hot Spot

The Jersey Devil is alive and well and living in Sweetwater.

Thanks to some creativity and a lot of hard work, a 10-foot-tall carved statue of the Jersey Devil now welcomes all to Sweetwater Marina and Riverdeck.

Brian Lyczak is the designer and builder of the carving that started being installed Wednesday night at the business on the Mullica River. Lyczak, owner and operator of Zakcrete Masonry, told us it took him six weeks to carve the devil from a single piece ash wood. He expects to have the installation completed this weekend.
