Four supermarkets in four South Jersey towns now have a new owner.

Earlier this summer, A&P, which at one point owned around 300 supermarkets across the northeast, declared bankruptcy again and decided to close or sell all of its stores. According to NJ.com, on Monday, a judge approved the sale of 95 A&P-owned supermarkets to Acme and Stop & Shop. Under the deal over 10,000 employees across the region will keep their jobs. Locally, four stores will now be owned by Acme:

  •     Superfresh on East Bay Avenue in Manahawkin
  •     Pathmark on Wellington Avenue in Ventnor
  •     Superfresh on West Avenue in Ocean City
  •     Superfresh on Delaware Avenue in Wildwood
