More than 150 kids took part in the 9th summer-long Our Children Making Change' volunteer fundraising effort!

The unveiling of the big check--of funds raised for charities-- was celebrated at the Ocean City Sports and Civic Center, as it's reveal was surrounded with cheers by all the families involved.

OCMC President and founder Laura Dulac, of Margate, was beyond excited to present a $17,649 check from all of the children's fundraising efforts.

The money will be equally divided among local charities that were chosen by the kids and parents earlier this summer. This summer’s charities include:

  • Funny Farm Rescue in Mays Landing
  • South Jersey Field of Dreams in Absecon
  • New Jersey Nature Rescue in Cape May
  • Kyle’s Quillows in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania
  • Covenant House in Atlantic City

Our kids of Atlantic County raised money from lemonade stands, dog walking, car washes, bake sales and yard sales.

There was also a movie night in Galloway Township, a knockout tournament and a flower sale in Margate.  Dozens of other efforts made contributed to such an accomplished fundraising amount.

Thank you to all who contributed to show your support to our kids and for our local charities!
