This weekend is the 138th birthday of Lucy the Elephant, one of the Jersey Shore's most iconic landmarks.

It's also the 50th anniversary of the Save Lucy Committee and the celebration is going to be huge.

On Saturday, July 20th (rain date: Sunday, July 21st), from 10AM to 8PM, there will be a trackless train ride, mini golf, stilt walkers, a bungee run, water slide, a rock wall, food, and more.

There will be no on-site parking during the party, but Margate is offering free parking with shuttle service at Benson and Monmouth avenues with shuttles departing every 15 minutes.

What is Lucy getting for her birthday? A new lease! The Save Lucy Committee and the Margate city council unanimously approved a new 20-year lease, according to The Press of Atlantic City, that will automatically renew every five years, ensuring that Lucy will have a home for years to come.
