A 47-year-old man was killed in a construction accident in Lower Township Tuesday.

Lower Township Police say they responded to 14 Sprucewood Avenue in the Villas following the report of a person falling:

Upon arrival, officers found Joel Duarte-Dutra, age 47, of Maple Shade, NJ, unconscious and bleeding on the ground. Witnesses stated he fell from scaffolding, while framing a porch on the residence, which is under construction.
