Pemberton Police are investigating how a man's body wound up in a clothing donation box.

The man's body was first spotted in the metal Planet Aid box in the parking lot of the Country Farms convenience store on Pemberton Browns Mills Road in the Browns Mills section of the Burlington County community on Sunday afternoon, according to 6ABC

A woman who didn't want her name used told the station she saw legs hanging from the box: "I heard the gentleman who was parked next to us say that it was just a joke, that someone put a dummy there. And as I proceeded to walk to the store, my husband yelled over that it was a person."

Police said the man may have been a transient looking for clothes whose head became trapped in the small door where donations are placed, according to the report.
